Editorial Policy

How we research, review, and publish content at FINAV.

Our Approach

Every piece of content on FINAV is written with one goal: to help you feel a little more clear about your money. We know financial topics can feel heavy, confusing, or shame-inducing. So we take care to be accurate and genuinely useful. No pressure, no judgment.

How Content Is Researched

Our editorial team researches each topic using publicly available, reputable sources including government agencies (such as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission), nonprofit financial education organizations, and established personal finance literature.

We cross-reference information across multiple sources and prioritize clarity over complexity. When a topic is nuanced or evolving, we say so rather than presenting oversimplified answers.

How Content Is Reviewed

Every article is reviewed by the Finav Editorial team before publication. Our review process checks for:

  • Factual accuracy: claims are verified against current, authoritative sources
  • Clarity: concepts are explained in plain language
  • Tone: content maintains our calm, non-judgmental voice
  • Usefulness: each article offers at least one practical takeaway

We also revisit published content periodically to ensure it remains accurate and relevant. If we discover an error, we correct it promptly.

Author Attribution

Content on the FINAV blog is published under the byline Finav Editorial. Every article is researched, written, and reviewed as part of a structured editorial process before publication.

What We Are Not

FINAV provides financial education and general guidance. We are not licensed financial advisors, tax professionals, or legal counsel. Our content is educational in nature and intended to help you think more clearly about your finances, not to tell you what to do.

Advertising and Affiliates

The FINAV app may include affiliate links to third-party products or services. Our editorial content is independent of these relationships. What we write on the blog is never influenced by commercial considerations. Any affiliate relationships are clearly disclosed.
